DrumMAN Drum Tuition

Girls, boys, mums & dads it’s never too soon or too late to have a go. I have taught students ranging in age from 18 months (a very early developer) to 86 (yes, 86 - a lovely lady who wanted to play in her church band!)

Many others have started with me and there is no reason why you can’t join them!

I have several kits to teach on including junior sizes, and I am happy to give group or family lessons at a discount.

As a starter I offer a FREE introductory 1 hour session where I guarantee you will finish by reading AND playing your first drum groove.

I caught the drumming bug at an early age and was lucky enough to be taught side (snare) drum in a marching band by an ex-army drummer. I then tried to develop skills with a full kit. I played in a few bands and had a lot of fun but always wondered how those guys like Bonham, Moon, Paice and Palmer could play so fast and with so much complexity. I wasted years teaching myself before I stumbled on a teacher. He showed me so much more in such a short space of time. With the practice and discipline instilled by the ‘military’ beginning added to the right things to attempt, my progress was rapid.

I’m happy to say that I am still learning but now love passing on the tips of the trade. These are not secrets, just common sense ideas and methods that are crucial for efficient development.
